What do I get in the free diagnosis?
You get a remote diagnosis, what that repair should cost, and a recommended next step. Sometimes that next step is a small DIY fix. Sometimes it is live DIY Repair help. And sometimes it is finding the right local pro.
How is Chilll different from calling a contractor directly?
First, we provide you an unbiased look into your project. Then we help connect you with the right fix solution - if that solution is a local pro - we find the good ones and then have them bid on your project and best repair schedule. Then you get the best value.
How do you stay unbiased?
Chilll does not work for the contractor, and Chilll does not make more money when the repair price goes up. That gives us room to say, "this is a small fix," when that is the truth.
What kinds of repair problems can I bring you?
HVAC and plumbing are the strongest fit today, but you can still bring other repair problems. We want to learn where homeowners need the most help, and we would rather be honest about fit than overpromise.
Do I need to download an app?
No. You get your estimate right in your phone's browser - no app, no account, no credit card. If you decide to move forward with a fix, that is when you create an account, and the app gives you the best experience for the repair itself.
Do I need an account?
Not to get your estimate. Showing us the problem and getting your diagnosis is account-free. You only create an account if you choose to move forward - to DIY with a pro or get local pro bids - so we can handle payment and make sure every project is real.
What happens if I need an in-person pro?
Your diagnosis can become a job ticket for vetted local pros. Multiple qualified pros review your remote estimate and then bid on the work. So they understand the problem before they travel, so they come prepared.
How much does Chilll cost?
The diagnosis is free. DIY+ live guidance is $35. If you need a local pro, local pros pay Chilll a flat-rate commission based on the repair type.
